Fantastic idea - I was about to suggest the same. Short of players for a kids match from my own squad, so using the game as an opportunity for kids from younger team to step up/ trialists to play a 1-off game - but need to keep separate lists of who's responded to keep tabs on team numbers. Would be very useful to have this all in 1 place.

A few thoughts to add to what's already here:
- Make "Sub" a flag on player
- Options to Include/Exclude from team messaging
- Players are by default Rostered Off for all games
- Receive an individual invite when removed from Rostered Off
- "Remind" function include option to "Invite Subs", which would invite all subs to join

Use case is Hockey, if I don't have 10 confirmed by a few days before the game, I want to put a call out to my subs and let them fill open spots. Once we hit our max 13, any furthers players are counted as Rostered Off per current functionality.

This would be very very useful as have to manage guest players for 'a' game by text not on Teamstuff.

This would be great, I am borrowing players quite often during the season and would like them to receive reminders and communications for the game they are subbing in for.

I have a similar ask, here is the use case. Imagine I have a an academy and I create a team called Academy where all the players and training activities exist. I also have three teams; (1) Team A, (2) Team B and (3) Team C, where players to those teams are shared from academy and that is where the games live. Lets say I share a player from academy to lets say Team A, and that player will receive all activities from Academy plus the Team A. I would also like the ability to assign that player to a game from Team B but I would only like that game tp show on their schedule. The issue now is; when a player guest plays and its shared to the team, they get everything.

Helpful as well for Coachstuff link as I try and track goal scorers / Man of the match votes etc.

I came here to make the exactly same suggestion. We often invite guest players to our trainings or friendlies. Especially if someone brings 1, 2 or 5 friends. This is crucial!

#1 Players are able to attend, bringing +1-n guests, which get's summed up in the ATTENDING players count

#2 Coaches are able to manually add a temporary GUEST player with a given name.

As a manager to fill up our 20 team lineup, I found this feature quite interesting to addup simple names without the email adresses to complete de lineup. As we wish to practice with full team we allow friends to come in but we need a way to fill those up within the app so other team members can see what our roster of the day will be.

Another option: allow players to specify number of attendants. Guest players could be friends of current players. So when a player signs up for a game she can specify total number of players that she represents. By default it is 1, but can be increased.

I have set up a "Fill In Player" so the team can see if we have enough players. It gets messy with email addresses and obviously doesn't notify fill in players. This sort of function would be very helpful

An option to automatically invite the guests (spares) when the team attendance drops below a configurable number of players would help fill in the holes when regular players can't make it.

This is a BRILLIANT idea. If our team drops below 10 players, we forfeit the game. With TeamStuff I can see if we have less than 10, and the ability to invite guest players FOR THAT GAME ONLY would be ideal. (I currently do this, but I do it manually)
