Volunteer Sign-up sheets for supplies and team duties
I'm doing this in a Google Docs spreadsheet now. Would be good to have it all right here. it would be a list of supplies or duties that all of the team can see and they could sign themselves up for whatever they want and everyone can see who is responsible for what in real-time. A cool feature would be automated reminders like "remember to bring the pop-up canopy to Saturday's game" etc. But just a list would be great. there is a site called signupgenius.com that does this already and you can make one on google docs but we don't want to have to log into to many different sites.
We’ve now completed this feature. So the way it works in teamstuff is that coach/manager can set up the duties on each game ( including templates for home/away games ), and you can allow your team to assign themselves to the duties they want. So they can select a game / duty and say ‘we will do that’. Nice feature – and thanks all for providing some thoughts/ideas and support to make it happen.
Can duties be added to practices? I need to rotate snack duties throughout the season, not just for games.

Should also point out - we already have push and email reminders for duties.
So once people are 'on' a duty - it's pretty hard for them to claim they didn't know. It's on their game list, on the game reminder, will see it in alerts - and will get reminders sent saying 'don't forget you're on oranges' etc.

It would be really great if you differentiate between player & parent duties and be able to set up rotas aligned to matches. One of the othe requests was to distinguish between home & away matches, and this would really tie in with the rotas for tasks such as refreshments, which are only applicable to home matches
