Reminder - Training
Ability to send reminders to all players for practice (not just games) on custom frequency. For example 24 hours and two hours before the game. Reminder email should have ability to change status direct from link in email. Then send attendance summary email to coach / manager hour prior. Our soccer team practices multiple times a week and only plays a few games a month. As a manager the real value in TeamStuff is parent communication reminders.
Hi all,
We moved this up the chain and got it live today.
So we’ve implemented this as a user preference – with the setting available on the web at the moment only. IT’s turned off by default – so for those that want it ( and that’s you! ) please jump onto www.teamstuff.com, login – account settings under notifications.
And enjoy all the training reminders you could ever want!

We started using teamstuff this season and it works great for game planning. We're having a little bit more issues with practice. Like "zacharykrammer" posted below
"Training Reminders like game reminders should have an auto email set up or 2 days before a training session so that I don't have to manually send out an notification or alert to set attendance."
The alerts setup alerts should be set by default by the coach in order to get confirmation in time. For game, we are receiving an email on which parents can directly change attendance, but on practice, there is nothing unless we manual force a notification request. The forced notification will not give the option to setup the attendance directly within the email, so most parent postpone it later on an forget about it.
Unless we can do something else or if I'm missing something, this lack of functionality makes TeamStuff only half efficient than other solutions offering.

I completely agree that having a reminder for training sessions is very much needed. Thanks for for working on this feature. Is this close to completion or should I add the training session as games to get reminders to go out?

Thanks for your thoughts on the trainings reminders.
Given the level of support for this, we should be able to sneak something into our roadmap over the next few months.
We originally left out trainings from the reminders to avoid/reduce noise from teamstuff - lots of teams do not want reminders on the training. But plenty do - we can see that from the activity here.

There should really not be a difference in terms of notification between games or training. We end up having to send constant reminders for training. Also notification for training from iOS app is still not working. I have advised you twice of this.

Totally agree. An alert would be great when players from out of training.

Love this app - but agree, need to be able to set alerts for Training - otherwise as a manager, I am manually sending the reminders

We need push for training. Otherwise this app is useless for us.

This is a major issue for me.
The way that it is done for Games is great, so hopefully doing the same for Training sessions would be relatively easy to do? Do issues that get less votes sometimes get done ahead of issues with more votes, if they are substantially easier to implement?
When a new training session is created and notifications pushed out for the first time, the player will get the notification and clicking on it will direct to the Alerts page. Here there is a basic message alert about the training session with a 'Got It' button, but no way to mark their availability there and then and no link to the page where they can mark their availability for that training session. That results in much less conversions for the action and is a bit of a clunky hole in the UX, in an mostly otherwise very polished app.
Now that training attendance feedback from players is poor, the admin user will resend the notifications again to those that haven't actioned this. However, the resent notification also directs to the Alerts page, but there is no training message or link to the training event. Often, the player is directed to an empty Alerts page and still left to find the training session page on their own. This can cause a lot of frustration to new users who struggle to work out where to input their attendance feedback.
Personally, I see this as an issue which causes significant pain but would be relatively easy to fix.
On a side note, whilst the Game Alert with the button for attendance feedback is great, it has one bug itself. This was on the iOS app (didn't check this on Android). If the player clicks on the round ? button, it turns to a green tick and then the alert disappears. This is fine if they are going. But if they are not going, the alert disappears before they can click it a second time to toggle it to 'Not Going'. So now they are down as 'Going' and they need to find the game event again via the nav to change their feedback to 'Not Going'. This is an annoyance at best, but for new users who don't know where to go to change it, it is alarming and can cause the wrong feedback to come back to team managers.
This is a great app, but it can take some effort to bring it into a team and get everyone to buy into it. When some players can give the wrong feedback and blame the app for it, things become much more difficult
Thank you for your time and congrats on great work.
Paul.

I think this would be helpful - an alert set for training as it is for games.
