    Hi all,
We’ve started looking into supporting SMS as a replacement for push notifications – i.e. for people without iOS or Android phones.

Keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks. Live in the US, Canada, Australia, Germany & United Kingdom .

Hi Gavin – we already support that!
After the game has completed, the coach or manager can update the game results. We can accept games results in numbers ( e.g. 32-17) or alpha ( e.g. cricket scores like 3/210 d 4/189 ).

  4. Support language translations for web applications, Teamstuff and Teamstuff 4 Clubs

I really like Teamstuff, but in Spain there are many parents who do not speak English. Some players also.

  6. Reminder - Training

Ability to send reminders to all players for practice (not just games) on custom frequency. For example 24 hours and two hours before the game. Reminder email should have ability to change status direct from link in email. Then send attendance summary email to coach / manager hour prior. Our soccer team practices multiple times a week and only plays a few games a month. As a manager the real value in TeamStuff is parent communication reminders.

    Hi all,

We moved this up the chain and got it live today.

So we’ve implemented this as a user preference – with the setting available on the web at the moment only. IT’s turned off by default – so for those that want it ( and that’s you! ) please jump onto www.teamstuff.com, login – account settings under notifications.

And enjoy all the training reminders you could ever want!

  7. Player Notes (Public or Private)

As a manager, I'd love to be able to make general notes for my players (injuries, vacations, batting order considerations, etc). These notes should also have the option to be private or public (having blunt and honest notes would be helpful, but I don't want to hurt someone's feelings - some players can think they're better than they actually are).

OK – we’ve done (almost all) of this.

coachstuff.com is the place you want to look. We also produce this – it is the place for the coach to keep stats, notes on players, oppositions, games and trainings.

The access is restricted to the coaches only in the team – so it’s private. We probably won’t put ‘public’ notes in there for awhile – as we tend to think there’s plenty of ways to do that already. But having a season wide view of your notes is useful – and that’s what coachstuff.com is for.

    Hope you enjoy!

  9. Include both a "Game Time" as well as "Show Up Time"

Include both a "Game Time" for when the game starts and a "Show Up Time" for when the players need to arrive. This show up time can be set individually, or as a Team setting..."Arrive 45 min prior to all games". This feature is available in other tools including Snapfish and TeamSnap.

Check out the arrival time setting on games. You can now set a ‘45 minutes before game’ for any game, and emails, mobile apps and web all show it. Never be late again.

  10. Allow team members to mark non-availability

Mostly for youth teams deal with family vacation. This can help, coaches and/or managers pick tournaments (during summer for example) when more players are available. Team Manager can toggle visibility for the whole team (seeing other people's schedule) on/off

Players can mark a period of ‘out of action’ under their profile, medical tab on the web.
You can set the dates when you’re not available – as well as a message why ( optional ). Games and trainings in that period or planned for will be automatically assigned a ‘no’ for those players.

  11. Reason for not attending

Would be good for when players click the red cross to notify that they can not play for there to be an option to give a reason for nonattendance (i.e. work, sick, injured)

New option added to create game to define home and away games. We haven’t rolled out the full ‘places’ to see this, so any suggestions on where/how you want to see home vs away games will be appreciated. And maybe even implemented! ;-)

  13. Team contact details visible to all team members

Some parents would like contact details (mobile and email) visible on the off chance that they need to swap duties or organise alternative transport. At the moment, the Manager and Coach only has this option. Is there a way of giving the parents the option to allow this?

    Hi all.

    This is now 100% implemented.

Look under account settings for a Privacy option. Users can now ‘opt-in’ to share their contact details with team members. Now operational across Web + iOS + Droid.

Enjoy and thanks for both raising it and voting it up. We might start thinking about what to implement next!!

  14. Option to send alert as email

It would be great if Alerts had the option to also send to email. Not everyone has smart phones yet, or if they do aren’t fully comfortable with Apps, so if when sending an Alert you could also check send via email then we wouldn’t have to type out an alert and then copy/paste it into an email.

Hi Tess ; we already do this! So when you send an alert – we will send to people’s phone if they have teamstuff app, but if they don’t we will already send it to their email address instead. So everyone will get the alert.

  15. Able to select a preferred communication mode - app/email

It would be good if when contact details are created the person picked their preferred mode of communication: App/Email. If they select email, when you create an alert, it would go to them as an email (not everyone is fully smart phone ready)

This is done – we’ve totally changed the way Notification preferences work. At the moment it’s easiest to see this when you change your account settings on the web. You can now personalise most alerts to provide your preferred method of communication.

  16. Easy table format for entering duties

In fact it would be great if loading duties could be done via a table rather than each individual game. So a pro-forma to fill it in. I only raise this, as you actually need to do a table outside of TeamStuff to keep track of which families have been allocated for what etc. As a result there is a bit of double handling.

    This is now 100% implemented.

If you take a look on the web, under your team the coach / manager will see a ‘table’ view of all duties, and can see the whole season at a glance.

Better than that : teamstuff can now allocate families to duties automagically – and players/parents can sign up to duties themselves.

  17. Ability to enter a generic event

To be able to enter camps, parties, etc

Creating ‘Club Events’ using clubs.teamstuff.com, events also appear in your alerts/calendar in teamstuff.com – early in July will get ‘Club Event’ visibilty on the mobile (iOS/Android) visibility

  18. Track split payments for games/competitions

We have a small team of colleagues who play football on a weekly basis. We split costs of each game between participants. It will be really nice to have a possibility to track who has already payed and who has not.
    Something simple - for manager
    - input cost of the game
    - split by participants, with ability to exclude people who didn't pop-up.
    - send notifications
    - checkboxes to mark those who has payed.

    Finally, finally, finally : done.

A little bit bigger than we first expected. But it’s finally out now on Android and iOS. Web to follow in a month or so.

Can track payments in cash, and players / parents can make online payments direct to your stripe.com account.

Thanks for your patience – now done!

  19. Player Game Limits & Substitute Category

It would very helpful for the team managers if you could apply a limit to the number of "available" players for each game.
For example, netball has 7 players and once the first seven players have accepted, it puts all subsequent available players into a "substitute" category (similar to the who’s coming & who’s not category’s) with an error message stating “this week’s game is full – you’ve been placed on the sub list”.
If a player “who’s playing” player drops out, TeamStuff automatically invites the first substitute to play from the “Substitute” category. However, if the player is not…

    Hi all,

We’ve just pushed out the latest release for iOS and Android – you can now add/edit games and training across the entire mobile platform.

I’ve created another idea which relates to add/edit teams on mobile ( which BTW we are working on now ). So I’m going to close this one – to indicate we’ve finished the create/edit sessions/games; if you want to add your votes/support the other idea – look for edit / add team details on mobile.

    Thanks all

    Adam
